Begüm Tuncalı is a diplomat and is currently Second Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, where she has served for almost nine years.
During her diplomatic career, she has held postings in Brussels and Istanbul and has gained experience across several divisions of the Ministry at headquarters, developing expertise in international affairs, crisis management, cross-cultural communication and diplomacy. Throughout her career, she has represented her country as part of official delegations accompanying the President, Prime Minister and Ministers on international visits and engagements.
Begüm holds a degree in Management from the University of Leeds and a Master’s degree from the University of Westminster, where she developed a strong interest in international affairs. Outside her professional work, she enjoys engaging with different cultures through languages, music, theatre and the arts, and has a particular passion for social dance and cultural exchange.
